Youth Board:

Youth First Texas was structured with 2 working boards: One Youth & One Adult, working together to develop programs and activities to support GLBTQ youth in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. The Youth Leadership Board (YLB) is comprised of 10-14 youth, elected for a one year term to set the direction and leadership guidance for all the youth programs and special event activities for the coming year.

The goal is to train the youth and develop future leaders for the GLBTQ community. The YLB makes decisions on youth programming, outreach projects, fundraising ventures for youth programs, as well as starting new youth programs. Each of the youth on the YLB is required to be responsible for a current program of YFT. Program applications may be submitted at any time.
